To be come the best and battle any demons you have in your life such as anxiety you have to go through a process of personal development. To do this you need to become very self aware of yourself, which can be a little scary at times but it really does not have to be and can change your whole perspective on everything. Being self aware is understanding and knowing how you think, feel, act and deal with things; knowing your self inside and out. If you know what you are good at and what positive attributes you have you can utilise them and make them work for you in every aspect of your life to become the best at what you want to do. Knowing who you are and having your own style gives you the focus to go after what you want in life.
Think about when you were a child and you explored the world without fear, always questioning everything. This is what we lose as an adult. But those who carry it through into adulthood will usually succeed at the things they do in life as they keep that positive attitude, leading you to try new things, not shy away from getting your goals and being happy. The modern world has brought about a standard level of living which has made the majority of us accustomed to a certain way of life that we don't think to question it. By adopting this child like thinking you will begin to think outside the box and not accept things as they are and banish such things as anxiety as this is a condition bred on negative thoughts, feelings and actions.
We reject new challenges more and more as we get older as we experience failure more and more. We let external factors affect us to such an extent we don’t take responsibility for ourselves. But, all we need is a kick start. Think about something that you really want to achieve and picture yourself once you have achieved it. What do you think, feel, act and do? Take all that positive energy and harness it, learn from it and use it again in other areas of your life. We have to face facts we can’t be good at everything but we put pressure on ourselves sometimes to achieve things that we just might not be able to but it doesn't mean we can’t give things a go or let our confidence fail us and hold us back from even trying. What we just have to make sure we do is not get disheartened if we are rubbish at doing something, just have to laugh and make it fun what ever you are trying to do, as if you don’t let the negative vibes get to you, you will find you won’t be scared to try things again and again and again.
Every persons skill set is different and if you do focus on what you aren’t good at rather than what you’re are you will create a negative thought pattern that will become a habit. It will leak into the other areas of your life where you hold back and stunt confidence growth and maintenance and just not get to what you really can achieve. You really will be surprised once you change the way you think and then act how much you can do that you never thought you could. Your mind is a complicated tool but if you treat it right and feed it the right things it will be good to you its as simple as that.
We all have our comfort zone whether it is only be able to go out with your friends, wearing black, not striving for that promotion, not taking up that class in case you don’t succeed or staying home all the time. Our lives are hectic there is doubt about that and this can push us into doing things that fall into a habit and something we are so comfortable with we stay in that corner, yes, it helps us to avoid stressful situations but it makes us miss out on things as well and not reach that full potential which is always within our reach if we want it. However, what we want to do is find a comfort zone that makes you go out and get it. If you change the way you think you can put yourself in a new habit and pattern of behaviour where you will always strive to challenge yourself and reflect a positive personality that will make you deal with new problems and hurdles that come your way in life; succeeding at managing whatever comes your way.
Our habits and behaviours come from our childhood, lifestyle and and everything we encounter on a regular basis, so we will always have a comfort zone which is not always a bad thing as maybe you were brought up to always question things, stay positive and fight for what you want to do in life which will ingrain and follow you into your adult life. Harbour this energy and use it to the best of your ability and be the best at what you do or the best at trying this is all you have to do. This can only make your life better and with anxiety gone nothing will stop you.
